This walkthrough illustrates how to capture bar stock and sales information using a handheld PDA. BarControl is a simple application for use by Flight Crew within the cabin to accurately collect data relating to the Bar.
On opening up merlot-PDA, we are presented with a logon screen.

Once the user has successfully logged-on the merlot.PDA menu screen appears. To access the Bar Control application select Bar Control.

The user will then be prompted to select Select Flight from the drop-down menu, then Continue With Existing Crew to start using the Bar Controller.

Access is then given to the BarControl application. Tabs separate the products available. Selecting Details takes users to the details screen for the product selected, in the case of this example, Bourbon.

Information such as price, opening and closing balance and sales are available in the details screen.

Users enter data by selecting the appropriate button. For this example we'll input 3 Sales.

Selection of the Summary button displays the amount of product remaining and the total value sold. From the Summary screen users can select to Sign Off from the merlot.aero Bar Control application.

The Sign Off screen gives users an opportunity to confirm that the data entered is correct.
