Skywest Airlines of Western Australia joins revolution !

Skywest Airlines, The Premier Regional Airline of Western Australia has gone 'GREEN' with the use of an innovative Paperless Solution provided by Merlot.Aero

AUCKLAND, New Zealand; August 21, 2009; Skywest Airlines, Western Australia's premier regional airline is the first airline to take on merlot.pda.

merlot.pda is an easy to use solution, deployed over a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) device and a major advance for airlines moving towards a paperless aircraft. It will enable Skywest Airlines to replace many of its paper forms traditionally completed by crew onboard the aircraft. Thereby simplifying the process of recording information, easing the crews' workload and improving efficiencies by eliminating the need for data to be manually uploaded to existing airline systems.

By introducing this solution, Skywest Airlines is underlining its role as a leading regional airline in Australia.

The merlot.pda tools Skywest Airlines have chosen to use include merlot.BarControl, a bar sales and inventory tool; merlot.FlightLog, a flight-journey log capture tool allowing crew to record relevant data pertaining to the flight; and merlot.Weight&Balance, a tool used to produce the final load sheet.
